30 weeks and 2nd Baby Shower

How far along: 30 weeks

Total weight gain: I am writing this as I am 31 weeks and 2 days. I went to the doctor yesterday and I think I have gained 35 lbs!

Maternity clothes: anything comfy, I am getting so sick of my clothes.

Gender: girl

Movement: Lots of rolls

Sleep: I have a love/hate relationship with sleep. I keep waking up tossing and turning because of aching hips.

Cravings: nothing really in particular.

Symptoms: felling great. A little bit of a neck and back ache every once in a while

Highlight of the week: My baby shower with my family and friends. My sister in law's, mother in law, and grandma in law hosted the cutest tea themed shower for me. Every one was so wonderful and so generous!

29 weeks

How far along: 29 weeks

Total weight gain: I think I'm around 25-27 lbs still.

Maternity clothes: a little bit of everything. Now that the weather is getting cooler, I have been wearing sweaters with tights.

Gender: girl

Movement: Little girl has been having the hiccups a ton lately. I even got to see her have them on the sonogram this week.

Sleep: still not fun. I'm starting to wake up all through the night.

Cravings: chocolate ice cream and bagels.

Symptoms:Heartburn still and other then that I'm feeling great.

Highlight of the week: See baby girl on the sonogram. She's getting so big. The doctor says she's around 3 1/2 lbs now. I just can't believe how soon she's going to be here. I still have so much to do! I also had my first baby shower this week in Dallas. My 2 friends had the sweetest shower for me. It was so great to be back in Dallas and spend time with  great friends!

Bought Baby S some leggings! Yes, her name starts with a S, but I'm not ready to reveal it until she arrives.

made homemade pumpkin pie granola! Yum! Pinterest find.

Had a piece of furniture recovered in this amazing fabric!

Made a wreath with cut out roses. Don't worry I added one to the place where it looks like its missing one after the picture. This was another pinterest craft.

Got a welcome to the neighborhood note and goodies.

Went to a chiefs game.

Got Baby girls changing table and dresser. 

Home Sweet Home

In July my hubby and I made a big move back to Kansas City to Dallas. We were so sad to leave Dallas, because we had been there so long and really made it our home. But we knew once we became pregnant that Kansas City (where are family is) is where we needed to  be. I was so excited to be home, but also nervous about finding a house that we could make a home for the next several years. As soon as we got back to K.C. we got a realtor and probably looked at over 30 houses. The last house we looked at Wes and I actually found on our own. It was in the most perfect neighborhood surrounded by parks, local shopping, and tons of trees. Location has always been our number 1 requirement when looking for a house and we found it with this house. The house is about 50 years old and only has had 2 owners which says a lot to me. I knew when we bought this house I wanted to redo a few things like the kitchen and painting. After 3 weeks we are almost done with all the redos, but there are still things I would like to do down the road. Here are some pictures of the progress, none are the finished pictures. I will post those later.

28 Weeks

 I love how our dog Roman is right behind me in this picture. It looks like my belly is knocking his head out of the way!

How far along: 28 weeks

Total weight gain: last time I went, the nurse said I gained 25lbs!! Whoaa! I was a little upset, because I thought that would be what I gained the whole pregnancy. 

Maternity clothes: mostly maternity tops, leggings, and workout clothes.

Gender: girl

Movement: yes. She has been doing rolls in there. 

Sleep: blah! I keep tossing and turning all night.

Cravings: pancakes and cereal.

Symptoms: backaches still and my neck has been hurting. Heartburn has gotten a little better this week.

Highlight of the week: I failed my first glucose test, so my doctor said I needed to do the 3 hour one. I was so nervous about not passing it and going to a 3 hour test was awful. Thankfully the next day I got a call from doctor's office saying that I did not have GD. It was a huge weight lifted from my shoulders! 

Dear little one- I am so excited for this upcoming week. I not only get to see you again on our sonogram Tuesday, but my Dallas friends are throwing you your first baby shower this weekend. Your invitations are beautiful and I can't wait to see all my sweet friends in Dallas. Everyone is getting so excited to meet you little darling.

Gender Reveal + picture update finally!

I finally am ready to upload pictures from our Gender reveal party! It only took 2 months! haha! But we had so much fun and I couldn't not share.

So obviously you can tell I am pregnant with most of things that I am loving. haha.

During this pregnancy I have vowed not to have any caffeine and have been doing pretty darn good at it too! I get sick of plain old water so I love have La Croix's all of the time. The berry and lime flavor are my favorite.

My mom bought me this adorable banner from Pottery Barn. As soon as I get my camera pictures uploaded I will show you where I put it in my new house.

This stuff is amazing. I found it on honeybee blog. She recommended subbing oil and eggs for a container of unsweetened applesauce. They were so good.

This are just amazing! I don't feel as bad eating a whole bag either. haha
