Baby product love

I know I haven't been keeping up on my posting at all! But cuddles with Scarlett are taking up all my time  and they are oh so worth it. I am loving on my baby each and every minute. I am so happy I get to stay at home with her and smell her unbelievable baby scent every day. I miss being a teacher a lot especially all of my kiddos, but I know I will go back to it one day. For now the most important job is being mom to this little blessing and its the best job.

Now onto more important discoveries. We live a walk away from an adorable shopping area here in K.C. and they have one of the most unique little toy stores. I mean they have a door just for little kids to go into. It's so cute and the store is filled with huge play houses and unique little toys for kiddos. Alot of their stuff Scarlett isn't ready to play with, but I stumbled upon these books made by a local author. They are called the indestructibles. They are chew proof, tear proof, water proof, and you can even put them in the dishwasher. Being a teacher I am a little book obsessed so these really caught my attention. The other thing that I love about them, they are just filled with pictures, so the parent or child can make up their own story. I love reading to Scarlett, but lets be honest I doubt it she is really grasping anything that I'm reading to her now, so its so fun just make up your own story. The pictures are really big and colorful too, so she loves looking at them. I got this one below, but I plan on getting more from the series. They were sold out of so many.

The weather was crazy beautiful the other day so we spent the afternoon lounging in the sun, now its snowing! What the heck!

Stuff Peppers done healthy

I love stuffed peppers, so when my mother in law sent me this recipe that was under 300 calories and that you could make in your crock pot I was super excited. It was so good and easy to make that I had to share. I have been trying to eat really healthy and clean, so I have been on the search for healthy and easy recipes. Got to get ready for swimsuit season!

Pregnancy flashback

Now that my pregnancy is over I thought it would be fun to look at my progression to 9 months. Now I have about 4 months to get my body back in shape before we hit the beach in May! Gah! Let the healthy eating and workouts begin! It's not going to be easy.

1 Month

Scarlett you are 1 month...

Things you have been doing?

You eat every 3 hours.

You sleep 3- 4 hour stretches at night. You love sleeping next to mommy and daddy in your bassinet.

You still love to eat! You have been getting a rash on your face a lot when you feed. The doctor said this is probably from the hormones in my milk and I just have to let it run its course. At least it doesn't bother you.

You love getting your diaper changed. My favorite time with you is right when you wake up and I put you on the changing table. You love to stretch and peek at me through your eyes.

You have been focusing on us so much lately. You smile all the time. It's pretty unbelievable!

You can lift your head when we lay you down for tummy time. You absolutely hate it, but you are a champ at doing it.

Things you love:

Your wubnub pacifier

You love when people talk to you.

When we hold you.

Vitamin D drops.

Being wrapped in a blanket

Things you don't love:

being swaddled.  You love this now.

You are have a love/hate relationship with your swing.

Some firsts:

You had your first smile ( I wish I knew the exact day on this)

You had your first nap in your crib.

You had your first outing. You went to Nordstrom, the grocery store, and the gap.

Scarlett I can't believe it's been a month already. You make us so happy. I had my first time away from you today when I went to the grocery store. Even know it was only a hour I couldn't wait to get home and snuggle with you again!
